Healthy Treats for Santa

Flying around the world and delivering presents to boys and girls is a tough job. Santa travels 175 million miles on Christmas Eve, so be sure to leave him a healthy snack to refuel when he stops at your house this year.
A healthy snack contains both carbohydrates and protein. Look for foods that contain fiber and healthy fats and are low in saturated fats, added sugar, and calories. Everyone knows that Santa loves milk and cookies, but he also enjoys eating healthy snacks, including:

-Fruit and cheese kabobs
-Sliced apple topped with peanut butter and raisins
-Hummus with fresh vegetables
-Crackers with peanut butter
-String cheese with a tortilla
-Peanut butter and banana on whole-grain bread
-Trail mix

Leave a healthy snack for Santa this year so that he will have enough energy to deliver all his presents on Christmas Eve. Don’t forget to leave carrots for Rudolph and the reindeer too! One of Santa’s favorite snacks is popcorn, so you may want to try the recipe below.
